Yesterday we were stopped for exceeding the speed limit by 30 km. There were two policemen, my husband could not agree on the spot .. They made a protocol, took the documents for the car and the license, they said to come to the police tomorrow by 10 am. We arrived at 10 in the city of Bar, we were told to “walk and drink cafe” for half an hour - some documents were not ready there. They came in half an hour, they told us again - wait.

Somehow they waited; a policeman came out and led us to his car, because we are foreigners and we ourselves can get lost. It turns out that we had to go to court (mommies!) We climbed into his dilapidated, no, collapsed five (Lada), and went to court. There we were told to wait 10-15 minutes, in the end we waited for an hour. The courthouse itself is slain; it is not clear what they go for and where the gigantic fines are deposited? Corruption is visible to the naked eye; the only good news is that with such a level of corruption, Montenegro will not be allowed into the European Union, but she wants to go there and, I hope, she will have to fight it not for life, but for death. As a result, we were fined 130 euros! And that's for speeding. The judge said that from June the fines will be increased even more. For drunk driving or crossing a continuous road there will be a fine of 2,000 euros and withdrawal of rights for 3 months. That's it. Then our friends told us that we should always negotiate with the police on the spot, under any circumstances.

Now we drive strictly according to the signs ...

Drivers, be very careful and don't get caught like us!
