After resting and driving along the coast of the Bay of Kotor, visiting Kotor, Perast, Budva, the port of Montenegro, we decided to make a trip deep into the territory of Montenegro and get acquainted with other sights and historical places. For
We contacted Monteonline to organize such a trip.
Stanislav and Ksenia offered us a gastronomic tour program with visits to vineyards, wineries, acquaintance with the traditional cuisine of Montenegro with a glass of brandy and a glass of wine. At exactly the appointed time, Stanislav drove up to us and we went on a trip.
During the trip, we listened to Stanislav's unusually interesting and informative story about the history of Montenegro. The end point of our trip was the winery and vineyards. In that region of the mountainous and forest wilderness, an ancient village has been preserved.
Staniselichi, which did not succumb to the pressure of civilization, but retained its traditions, ecology and the unhurried rhythm of rural life around the cultivation of grapes. Having reached the place, we were very cordially greeted by the current head of the Bogoevich family, Alexander.
Having got acquainted and tasted traditional Montenegrin dishes accompanied by a glass of brandy and a decanter of homemade wine, we proceeded to the main part of the program.
We visited the vineyard, drove around the neighborhood with a visit to the family cemetery, the Orthodox Church, learned the history of its construction in this very place, got acquainted with the way of life of old rural Montenegro and learned firsthand about family and rural holidays. We climbed by car to the highest peak, from where we saw a panoramic view of Podgorica, Lake Skadar, the Crnojevica River, and the Zet Valley.
Having finished the tour, we returned and examined the carefully preserved old stone house of the founder of the family, Bogdan Bogoevich, under which a wine cellar with oak barrels is now located, in which wine, grape brandy and
herbal tinctures produced according to old recipes. Having visited the wine cellar, we purchased unique wines, herbal tinctures and brandy in memory of Montenegro and its wonderful people.
The final point of our program was a dinner with the Bogoevich family. The hospitable hosts laid a real Montenegrin homemade table: traditional prosciutto, pork cuts, homemade bread and corn proy, young cheese and lamb under sacha was served as the crown of the treat. And the most important treat at the table was the collection wine from the cellar of the Bogoeviches. After finishing the meal, thanking the hosts for an interesting tour and a delicious lunch, we took a picture for memory and tired, but full and satisfied, we left for home.

Summing up our excursion, I would like to say that we learned a lot, met wonderful hardworking people, the impressions of the trip will remain in our memory forever and we plan to continue such excursions for a long time.
